Reviving an old tradition


A Kawad is a portable wooden shrine shaped like a temple.

Folk tales and mythological tales are painted onto the doors, which open sequentially as a storyteller narrates the tale.

Sadly, Kawad storytelling has become a dying tradition.

How can we revive it for modern audiences?
